    Takacat T300LX Overview

The Takacat T300LX is our most popular size Takacat. This boat really is the jack-of-all trades. It is the perfect tender for the cruising family as well as an amazing day boat! The T300LX will look just as good on the shore while you have a picnic as it will when glide past a johnboat with twice the horsepower hanging on the transom. The Takacat T300LX boasts the same revolutionary features as the other LX models including the open bow, quick drain Tube Transom® and catamaran hull design!

The T300LX is perfect for use as a tender or a stand-alone boat. You can easily board from the water fully equipped with SCUBA gear or you can take a buddy fishing with you! The T300LX is also amazingly safe, safe enough to take the kids out for the day!

    Takacat Advantage Features

✓ Revolutionary stainless steel Tube Transom ®

✓ Aerodynamic tappered bow is designed to ensure you go over the top of rough and choppy waters

✓ The open transom and raised floor keeps the water out and the floor dry. Any water that does find its way in, will go straight out the back. You'll never bail again!

✓ Shallow Draft: A huge advantage when navigating shallow water! Also allows you to get further up the beach or ramp before the hull of the boat grounds.

✓ Takacats original open bow design provides safety and convenience when entering and exiting.

✓ Heavy-duty rubber under-tube protection for beaching and transport ease.

✓ Single seam design joint by chemical bonding gluing system ideal for foldable inflatables.

✓ 2 x air pressure release valves allow for quick inflation and deflation

✓ Addional reinforcing & protective layer over single tube seam provides superior durability.

✓ External oar rowlocks and Velcro straps ensure you won't be up the creek without a paddle!

✓ Internal and external safety lines

    ✓ Inflatable float seat

    ✓ 6 external lifting handles

✓ Conveniently placed D-rings for easy towing and storage on your boat

    Revolutionary Removable Tube Transom

A conventional fixed transom on similarly sized inflatables adds around 15lbs and increases the storage footprint dramatically when packing away.

Takacat's revolutionary and innovative new open Tube-Transom design ® can be easily and completely removed from the inflatable tubes for easy deflation and storage. This allows the Takacat to roll-up smaller, more easily and lighter than traditional inflatable boats.  These are big advantages when it comes to handling, transportation and storage.  Takacat's small footprint is ideal for storage in your RV, on your boat, or in your closet between fishing trips.

This fully open transom design will never hold water on board. This will be a great advantage when the Takacat is being towed, being used in rough or wet conditions, or if you have wet divers, swimmers, or dogs getting in and out of the boat on your adventure.

The removable tube transom® not only offers the best portability, but also the advantage of having a built in fitting for our quick release wheel and rod holder accessories.

Light Weight & Easy To Handle

Takacat inflatables are designed to be light weight and use innovative materials. The drop stitch fabrics used for the high pressure removable floor replaces heavier aluminium, ply or fibreglass used for floor boards in traditional dinghies. The Tube Transom ® also provides significant weight advantages.

    Tubes, Tube Protection & Replacement

Takacat tubes are made tough using 0.9mm, 1000 denier custom made PVC. The tubes are Anti-UV grade tested to 4.5 out of 5. International Standards ISO 4892-3:2006

    Additional Tube Protection

    • Heavy duty rubber under each tube provides extra protection when beaching and transporting
    • Quadruple overlapped seams provide additional strength as well as side protection
    • Specialized and unique anti skid provides superior non-skid and a durable, hard wearing floor with a fabric to fabric bonding

You will find full length rubber protection running the full length of the boat under the tubes. Rubberized rub rails on the sides of the tubes offer extra protection. The shallow draft of your Takacat allows you to maneuver in shallow waters and get higher up the beach where traditional dinghies  are generally stuck out further in knee deep water.

    • Takacats have up to 50% less seam work than a standard inflatable boat of similar size
    • Most inflatable boats require the transom, floor, air decks / drop stich, fittings and fixtures to be glued onto the tubes. So when it comes to the seams, we have chosen to use our tried and tested gluing system that we also use through out the rest of the boat. Glued seams are ideal for roll-up / portabile boats where welded seams can become brittle over time and are prone to splitting.

Unlike conventional ribs or inflatable boats, Takacats can be re-tubed simply and cost effectively. This is due to the revolutionary tube transom ® & fully removable high-pressure air deck floor system. The tubes are not glued to a hull or transom so there is no hassle or costly process to have your aged or damaged tubes re-made and re-glued to the hull. You can simply order a new set of new tubes direct from Takacat and fit them like you normaly do with a Takacat inflatable.

    Air Deck Floor

Takacat's air deck floor is made from a reinfored drop stich PVC to provide a high- tensile rigid core. Specialized and unique anti skid made with additional anti-UV additive is high-pressure laminated and heat pressed to the top layer for the best durability and rigidity. Additional overlapping layers make the walls of the air deck floor 1.8mm thick and provide additional durabiity and strength.

    • Tube construction: 0.9mm, 1000 denier custom made PVC
    • Anti-UV grade tested to 4.5 out of 5. International Standards ISO 4892-3:2006
    • Stainless steel (304) Tube Transom ®. 32mm cross beams, 0.25mm side tubes
    • Motor mount made from 18mm marine plywood painted with durable waterproof paint
    • Transom eye bolt (316) 10mm thread
